- Go to scan.harborprivacy.com and fill in your name, city, state, and email.
- Add any maiden or former names so brokers indexing under prior surnames are caught.
- Check the authorization box. This is what lets us file CCPA requests as your agent.
- Your first scan runs within 15 minutes. We email a private results URL when it completes.
- Upgrade to Active Removal from the results page to start filing opt-outs.
How agent authorization works
Harbor acts as your authorized agent under California Civil Code § 1798.135(c) and analogous state privacy laws (Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Texas, Delaware, Montana, New Jersey). Your signed authorization (checkbox + timestamp + IP) is stored and produced if a broker asks. The runner never files an opt-out for a profile that hasn't authorized us.
